Cristian Volpato has been officially called up by head coach Tony Popovic to Australia’s 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Australia are drawn in Group D, with their opening match on June 13 in Vancouver against Turkey.
For Cristian, born in Sydney and raised footballing-wise in Italy with Sassuolo, this is his first World Cup.
